Stevie Nicks ~ I Can’t Wait (Iowa, 1986)

The Rock A Little tour hits Iowa City, Stevie performs at the Carver-Hawkeye Arena. This was still early into the tour, and 4 months before the infamous Red Rocks video was filmed. Stevie sounds great (for Rock A Little standards) and looks great (from what I can see, but I just love the sparkly dress and her hair). I’ll never understand why Stevie claims this song was a disaster live, because it sounds great, very similair to the recorded version. I LOVE her dancing at 3:35 (and the “hand dance” from the video at 3:55!) with a perfectly timed hair-flip and shawl-flip! For the 3 people out there that love Rock A Little as much as I do, here’s the rest of the concert.
On this day in…1986:
Stevie joins Bob Dylan and Tom Petty on stage at the Entertainment Centre in Sydney. She was tagging along on their Australian tour but after 2 shows she had to leave the country because she didn’t had a working permit. A pretty great quality clip of them performing “Knocking On Heavens Door” appeared on Youtube 2 years ago but since then the account has been suspended and I can’t find the damn thing anywhere.
